COVID-19 POLICY

The Niagara Centre for Headache and General Neurology is open to patients with appointments. Please note that we will be reviewing each patient case and determining if the clinic appointment will be via telephone, video conferencing, or in person. This decision will be made based on individual patient needs, and we are determined to provide the best patient care, while minimizing the risk of COVID-19 exposure to all patients and staff members.

Due to COVID-19, the clinic is restricting care partners with some exceptions until further notice. Should you require a care partner during your appointment, please contact our office prior to your scheduled appointment to advise us of your specific situation.

We have undergone many changes to keep everyone safe. Here is what you can expect when you come into the clinic for your appointment:

  • Masks
Masks are to be worn at all times in the clinic. This includes (but is not limited to) the building lobby, elevators, hallways, washrooms, and all clinic rooms.  Please ensure to wear a mask before entering the building. If you do not have a mask, please inform our staff immediately and one will be provided to you.

  • Hand Hygiene
You will be asked to sanitize your hands upon entering the clinic. Please take advantage of the hand sanitizing station at the clinic entrance.

  • Screening
Everyone entering the clinic is screened upon check-in. After sanitizing your hands, you will be asked questions regarding COVID-19 symptoms and exposure.

  • Physical Distancing
Please remember to keep a 2m (6ft) distance from others wherever possible. Please note that inflow and seating in the clinic and public spaces is limited to support this. Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your appointment time, and exit once your appointment is completed and a follow up appointment is scheduled (if necessary).
