Clinical Profile:

Dr. Ansari is a neurologist with specialized training in headache medicine.

​

Dr. Ansari completed his Neurology residency training at the University of Toronto and subsequently completed a clinical fellowship in Headache Medicine at the University of Toronto (Women's College Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children), where he trained under some of Canada's top headache specialists. He also completed a brief observership at the Jefferson Headache Centre (Thomas Jefferson University), in Philadelphia.

While completing his fellowship, Dr. Ansari also worked as a clinical associate at the General Neurology Clinic at Women’s College Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospital (a tertiary care centre), providing care for complex acute code stroke patients and other patients with complex neurological disorders in the ICU/ER/Hospital Wards.

​

Dr. Ansari is a dual board-certified neurologist (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.)  He is a member of the Canadian Headache Society, American Headache Society, and the International Headache Society.

​

Dr. Ansari enjoys teaching and is an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University. He is involved in the education of medical students and residents through McMaster University.
